  • 1/2 teaspoon heating powder 
  • 1/2 teaspoon heating soft drink (bicarb) 
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt 
  • 113 g (1/2 glass/1 stick) unsalted spread, softened 
  • 1/2 container (100g/3.5oz) caster sugar 
  • 1/2 container (100g/3.5oz) dull darker sugar, stuffed 
  • 2 eggs, room temp 
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla concentrate 
  • 3/4 container buttermilk, room temp 
  • FOR THE Dull CHOCOLATE GANACHE Icing 
  • 100 g dull (70%) chocolate, finely hacked 
  • 1/3 container thickened cream 
  • 226 g (1 container/2 sticks) unsalted spread, relaxed 
  • 2 containers icing (powdered/confectioners) sugar 
  • 1/2 container (50g) unsweetened cocoa 
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt 
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla 

Directions 

FOR THE CHOCOLATE CUPCAKES 
  1. Preheat your stove to 180C/350F/160C fan constrained. Line your biscuit tins with paper cases. 
  2. In a bowl, filter together the flour, cocoa, preparing powder, heating soft drink and salt. Blend well to consolidate.
